RESUMO
Introducción. Valorar la evolución antropométrica [peso, longitud y perímetro cefálico (PC)] en prematuros ingresados en la Unidad Neonatal en función de la edad gestacional (EG) y el percentil de peso al nacimiento. Método. Estudio observacional descriptivo prospectivo en 82 neonatos pretérminos en la Unidad Neonatal del Hospital San Pedro de Logroño entre el 1 de enero hasta 1 de octubre del 2011. Resultados. Al nacimiento, la media de peso era 1.913+/-513 gramos. Eran pequeños para la edad gestacional (PEG) el 24,4% y el 44,9% eran PEG al alta. La media de longitud fue 42 cm +/-4 cm. El 27,2% era < p10 para su EG y el 43,8% fueron < p10 al alta. La media de PC fue 30,5 +/- 2,79 cm. El 22,2% presentaban PC < p10 y 32,4% presentaban PC < p10 al alta. Existe una restricción postnatal de crecimiento, valorando la Z-score de peso, longitud y PC, que se recupera a los 6 meses principalmente en pretérminos tardíos. A los 6 meses 11,9% todavía presentaban peso < p10, 7,2% longitud < p10 y 2,16% PC < p10. Conclusiones. Durante el ingreso en la Unidad Neonatal los prematuros presentan una restricción postnatal del crecimiento confirmándose a los seis meses un crecimiento recuperador (AU)
Introduction. To assess the anrhropometric evolution [weight, length and head circumference (HC)] in preterm infants admitted to the Neonatal Unit, according to birth weight percentile and gestational age (GA). Methods. Prospective descriptive observacional study in 82 preterm neonates admitted to the San Pedro Hospital Neonatal Unit in Logroño (La Rioja) between January 1 until October 1, 2011. Results. At birth, weight average was 1913 +/- 513 grams and 24.4% of neonates were small for gestational age at birth (44.9% at discharge). Length average was 42 cm +/- 4 cm (27.2% was < p10 for GA (43.8% at discharge). HC average was 30.5 : 2.79 cm (22.2% of were < p10 (32.4% at discharge). There was a restriction of postnatal growth, (assessing Z-score of weight, length, and HC) that was recovered at 6 months mainly in late preterm infants. At 6 months CA weight < p10 was showed in 11,9% neonates, length < p10 in 7.2% and 2.16% showed HC < p10. Conclusions. During admission to the Neonatal Unit, a restriction of the postnatal growth was confirmed in preterm infants and a catch-up to the six months is showed (AU)
